Anniversary Gifts

Today on our Facebook Page, we were discussing Anniversary gifts, and the traditions that some follow each year.

Today is our 5th Wedding Anniversary, and my husband chooses the gift each year, and does try to stick to either the traditional or modern gift. This year the traditional gift is "wood", the modern "silver" here's what he picked for us this year..

I love the bowl, it is so versatile! Designed as a punch bowl with the ladle, but also great for a big dessert, lots of bread rolls or even a decorative piece for the house.

Pregoli - Great Expectations in NZ Business Magazine

A bit of a "behind the scenes of Pregoli" read in the latest issue of NZ Business Magazine.

I'm glad to say I don't work until 2am now, although I am writing this at 11.30pm on a Saturday night - the joys of working from home with kids huh!

Thanks to Glenn Baker, the editor of NZ Business for getting in touch initially, and for "squeezing a photo in!"

Take a read, I'd love to know what you think!

Pregoli Wins Twice in The David Awards 2011

The winners of The David Awards were announced last week, and we are thrilled to announce Pregoli won two categories -
Most inspired use of marketing & Most community-minded business.

The David Awards, now in their fourth year, recognise the unsung heroes in home and small businesses throughout New Zealand.

Just as David, an ordinary, unassuming young man, used shrewdness and a simple slingshot to conquer the giant Goliath, these entrepreneurial Davids often punch well above their weight, and their tenacity, courage and ingenuity place them firmly at the forefront of entrepreneurship in this country.

Organizer of the Awards, Heather Douglas, says, “Home, small and micro businesses are often the start of something bigger and it’s important to nurture this sector as we see some remarkable success stories start from simple beginnings. There are also many, many small businesses which do not intend ever to grow beyond a certain size but whose contribution to the economy and the local social fabric is vital to New Zealand. These businesses are often overlooked but, without them, their communities and New Zealand as a whole would be much poorer. The judges have been impressed at the varied field of entries and the way in which, even in the current economy, these inspirational businesses are achieving the kinds of successes they are.”
